#HajimenoIppo ep76: this Takamura's origins ep was funny as hell. A fitting ending to a stellar series. #anime 

I started this series at the beginning of this year. It just feels right that I get to finish it near the end. I finally understand now why this has been such a hit for so long. It avoids shounen tropes and shows itself to be truly surprising and inspiring without being cheesy. Best of all, with all the intensity it was still a very fun watch with good comedy (thanks to Takamura). I look forward to picking up New Challengers next year and seeing how far & well Ippo has progressed.

However you say "great job" in Japanese, that's what I want to say to Hajime no Ippo now. Great job!
