Beyoncé – “Schoolin’ Life” | New Music
Just as I’m giving her new album a listen one, of the bonus tracks from the deluxe edition of Beyoncé‘s latest LP 4 hits the web. The whole album feels very influenced of another time, at least in its production and songwriting if not vocally, and the ’80s influence [undoubtably, Prince] of “Schoolin’ Life,” written and produced by The-Dream with synths and kicks aplenty, is no exception.
Beyoncé – “Schoolin’ Life”:
“Mum and Dad tried to hide the world, said the world’s just too big for a little girl… Eyes wide open can’t you see – I had my first heels by the age of 13.”
“Schoolin’ Life” is available on the deluxe edition of B’s new album 4, exclusively from Target on June 28.
