Rory, what happened to your iron play? During the 09-10 season, you were chipping the paint off flagsticks with your iron shots. Even though you're a better player now, I'm not sure your iron play is as good as it was then. Lots of pushes and pulls recently, despite the great performances.
If you can match your vastly improved short game with the kind of ballstriking we've come to expect from you over the years (and hopefully the kind you expect from yourself), then you're going to win every tournament you enter.
Olympic Club is a beautiful place, Rory. You can feel the history all around you (a bit like Rome!).
Have some fun, but get back to work soon. Never forget that your #1 priority should be to become the best player you can possibly be, irrespective of whether or not your subpar showings are good enough to beat the rest half the time. Only your best should satisfy you, Rory, and we haven't seen that in a while. Go and find it before June.
