My word! The obsession with flattery instead of attention to the actual point raised is rather sickening. I gather the poor creatures are not even killed, just thrown back. Still alive for a while. Very cruel.

I'm an archaeologist student, I do know who Darwin is. But people do tend to use him as an excuse when it's convenient to them. I do respect his theory, and I agree man's got to eat and all (here it's mostly for the sake of tourism so yeah, I guess you could say it some form of survival), but I'm willing to ignore it for the sake of the survival of the Earth and all it's diversity. Isn't that survival of the fittest as well?

posted by Margaux 23 Mar 2009 17:33

Agreeing with The If. This has absolutely nothing to do with "survival of the fittest", ! That's just using the theory as shallow excuse for murdering without reason.

Sad to behold. I asked someone who had tried Shark-fin soup what it was like once. 'Chicken'. So why not just chicken soup. BTW, Mr Fry, you are looking wonderfully 'buff' ;o)
