#StarDriver ep17: the atmosphere has completely changed now that everyone's fighting on equal ground. #anime 

I always knew Takuto had an uphill battle, but with Sugata on his side things seemed a bit unfair. It doesn't feel that way at all now. Takuto is unquestionably skilled right now. I used to think it was from having a clearly superior cybody, but everyone else appears to be fighting him on somewhat equal ground now. On top of that, it appears that the pilots are much more intimately linked to their cybodies as well.

I think we're gonna see a death in this show eventually. They just keep ratcheting up the danger factor more and more each episode. It almost feels like foreshadowing. Then again, I can't expect every show to throw death at me. Star Driver has been pretty light-hearted up until this point.
