Lots of cycling lanes in Halifax. Double bike lanes here and cars park outside the bike lanes. Other streets have a parking lane inside the bike lane. Crosswalks are marked everywhere and cars just stop when a pedestrian crosses. No need for red lights or flashing crosswalk signs.
