#GuiltyCrown ep6: I knew eventually they'd come to blows. And why is every anime writer determined to kill Tokyo? #anime
So it looks like Gai is playing the role of the ambitious king, rather than living it. And Shu gets to see it. Now why that leads to a fight is beyond me. Shu was basically asking for it.
This episode is another one involving Gai taking everyone on a critical suicide mission that's narrowly saved by the combination of the 3 main characters working together. I suppose the only real problem I had with this episode was the almost hilarious storm trooper mentality of the opposing soldiers. I just can't understand why some of these morons can't find a little cover and fire from a distance rather than yelling and charging at their enemy while yelling...
I also found it a little insane that the satellite's orbit would be degraded so quickly and precisely that it would immediately and certainly pinpoint Tokyo. Though it did add a palpable amount of tension to the episode. It wasn't the incredibly high level of intensity I have gotten from Evangelion on an episode by episode basis (which is what I believe they're aiming for), but it served its purpose well. Now the rebels have taken out two satellites and the trust issues between Shu and their organization should be cleared up... This week. That kid seems a little wishy~washy to me.
