Amanda Bynes I know what you mean! I was thinking about that the other day as well. As many true compliments as I have given her, she has never responded once. But, let someone say something as shallow as-"Amanda, you are so cool!"- and she automatically responds. I have my suspicions that she is very distrustful of adults and only wants to talk to kids and teenagers. She is stuck with (what I called in another post) the 'curse of Nickelodeon' and she will probably never be perceived as an adult. Regarding her stunning Maxim shoot, she obviously has some desire to show that she is a real woman now (and that she is!) but she doesn't seem to have the complexity or maturity to back the physical maturity with the intellectual and emotional adulthood. I am to the point now where I'm ready just to give up completely and just remember how much I adored her as a young comedian. That is, unless she shocks us all and signs up for the next Tarantino movie or gets to bash someone's head in in a Scorsese picture!
