His line is always hemmed in. Always. First a 1st liner, he's not particular big, good defensively or offensively. He's effective in the offensive zone for brief stints, makes some good plays, but they never keep the puck for very long. Great in shootouts/breakaway situations.
Initially he was the 1st line center because of depth (some say they have chemistry but that is a hot topic also), and nothing has changed in 5+ years. Kadri nearly there, Holland is still playing his 1st full season.
