Video - Zoltan Szabo & The Wine Baron pick out one of the star wines of the previous evening...
There were lots of bubbies opened by sabre last night for Vidal Blonde's birthday bash, but (wo)man does not live by bubbly alone. There were some still wines to be enjoyed as well. Zoltan and I agree, the Viewpointe Syrah was gorgeous. 2007 High Pointe Syrah:
My notes: Warm earthy aromas of dark berries & white pepper. Balanced and elegant with a peppery finish. Very deserving of its “Reserve” designation.
Zoltan's notes: “Supple texture, leather and spice nuances with blue fruit, dark berries, and white pepper. Old world style. Drinking very well. A good wine, affordable enough to pour by the glass.”
And now we're firing up the BBQ for some of Johanna's creations! Life's good :-)
