CARROTS WAITING TO BE DUG. I always get a thrill when I push back the mulch straw, dig into the soft ground and uncover fresh carrots just waiting to be liberated. Today I dug about 12 lbs. We've been down to -30F this winter and yet, thanks to judicious mulching, I was able to dig these fresh carrots out of the ground in Maine today. #winter #veggies #Maine #carrots A GOOD DAY TO GO WALKABOUT. Monday afternoon our cows took a circuitous route around the farm across the pond. Just checking things out!
